Spring has sprung, which means the growing season is about to begin for many. It began several months ago for many of the local farmers, which is great for those of us who don’t have much of a green thumb. I am embarrassed to admit this, but so far M and I have not raised a successful garden.
In fact we haven’t even manged to grow a barely producing unsuccessful garden. This is particularly embarrassing because both of us have mothers who can grow just about anything anywhere. This is where the farmer’s markets come in. The Downtown Growers Market will officially kick of May 17th, but until then they will be having a smaller version known as the Spring Market starting this weekend. The Spring Market will happen every Saturday from 9am – 1 pm until the Downtown Growers Market officially kicks off.
